Shimadzu have launched the LCMS-8060 triple quadrupole mass spectrometer, the newest member of their Ultra-Fast Mass Spectrometry (UFMS) family. The system combines a heated ESI source with all UF technologies including UFsweeper III, a collision cell filled with argon which achieves dwell times of 0.8 ms per MRM. The new UF Qarray ion guide technology increases ion production and signal intensity. Data acquisition scan speed is 30,000 u s–1 and polarity switching time is 5 ms, allowing acquisition of up to 555 MRM channels per second.
