Shimadzu have introduced the GCMS-TQ8050 triple quadrupole GC-MS, the latest in the series dating back to the GCMS-TQ8030 in 2012. Its ultra-high-sensitivity detector can measure femtogram-level concentrations, and newly developed noise reduction technologies produce a sensitivity level with 2.5 times higher signal-to-noise ratio than the previous model. Maintenance frequency and costs have been reduced by including features such as a highly stable ion source with patented technology and a quadrupole equipped with pre-rods.
