The thermal reaction of IPA on CeO2 catalysts has been investigated over a range of temperatures using the Selector™ Environmental Chamber accessory from Specac. The study by Christensen et al. clearly demonstrates the critical dependence of reaction parameters on the presence or absence of blocking carbonates on the catalyst surface, which can be controlled by careful treatment of the catalyst.
