Nickel production has seen increasing demand in recent times as nickel is a key component in lithium-ion batteries, used in electric vehicles. Hence, a fast, accurate and precise method is needed for quantification of these ores both in the mining and refining processes. The Thermo Scientific™ ARL OPTIM’X™ WDXRF spectrometer is designed for ease of use with minimal operation and maintenance costs. The instrument is fitted with a Goniometer covering elements from fluorine (9F) to uranium (92U). The instrument does not require external or internal water cooling and has 10 times better spectral resolution than a conventional EDXRF instrument as well as superior precision and stability.
