Instructions for Authors

Writing an article for Spectroscopy Europe and Spectroscopy Asia is often a pleasant change from the rigid requirements of a peer-review article. Articles, whilst of course written in a scientific manner, can explore interesting applications or review the current state of the art in a particular field. Colour figures are encouraged, and we are always delighted to include other material including animations, video and audio in our digital offerings. Overall, articles should be written so as to be of interest to readers regardless of their own speciality.

Spectroscopy Europe and Spectroscopy Asia are not peer-reviewed, however, your article will be very widely distributed. The print circulations of Spectroscopy Europe and Spectroscopy Asia are in excess of 31,000, and more readers around the world will read them on the website (open access of course), in our Digital Editions, and Apps for Apple and Android devices. In these days, when “Alternative Metrics” are growing in importance, this level of exposure can be a significant boost for your research. We also promote all articles through social media and direct to readers with table of contents alerts and e-newsletters.
