BioDrop
BioDrop, a microvolume cuvette from BioDrop, provides a robust and affordable approach to low volume spectroscopy. Its patent-pending design has the same dimensions as a conventional cuvette but is manufactured in two halves that are held together using two magnets. The precision machining ensures that the path length is accurate and its simple optical layout provides high-energy throughput ensuring accurate measurements over a wide dynamic range and only one path length is required for most experiments. It is easy to use, is robust enough to withstand the knocks and falls commonplace in laboratories and its ergonomic design makes it easy to handle, even with wet gloves. Available in 0.5 mm or 0.125 mm path lengths, it can be used to perform UV/vis spectroscopy on sample volumes as low as 1 µL, making it suitable for life scientists measureming DNA, RNA and protein samples.
