Analytik Jena buys Bruker ICP-MS business

Analytik Jena closed the acquisition of the ICP-MS business of Bruker Corporation on 12 September 2014. The integration process has begun, and it is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2014.

“I am glad that we were able to make this acquisition a reality so quickly and on a fair basis together with Bruker. The transaction is of great strategic importance for Analytik Jena AG,” said Klaus Berka, Chief Executive Officer of Analytik Jena AG. “Now the emphasis will be on integrating the team of employees from Bruker and the assets quickly and smoothly into our organisation.”

The ICP-MS business is set to be integrated into the Analytical Instrumentation business unit at Analytik Jena AG. Many ICP-MS employees around the world in sales, applications, service, research and development, including the ICP-MS chief developer, have accepted jobs at Analytik Jena, or are expected to join Analytik Jena soon.

Analytik Jena can now offer the entire portfolio of elemental trace spectrometry.
